Python is a very popular computer language, especially for AI (Artificial Intelligence) and machine learning projects. This means it’s often used to make computers learn and do smart things. Snowflake, a company that helps handle data on the internet, looked at how much people were using Python for their projects.
They found that compared to last year, there’s been a huge increase in people using Python on their platform called Snowpark. It grew by 571%! They also looked at other computer languages like Scala and Java, but Python was way ahead in terms of growth.
Not just that, but Snowflake also noticed that people were using special Python tools for AI and machine learning much more too. For example, a tool called Scikit-learn became 474% more popular, and another one called XGBoost grew by 357%.
Snowflake thinks this shows that more and more companies are trying out new things with AI and machine learning, not just sticking to what they already know. They found that companies were starting to use messy data (which doesn’t fit into neat boxes) more effectively too.
They also talked about a community of developers using something called Streamlit to make apps that use big language models. These models help computers understand human language better. Snowflake said thousands of developers were making apps with these models.
But there are some worries. Some developers are concerned about trusting these big models, privacy, how much it costs, and learning how to use them properly.
